About NEYT
Our Story
The founders of New England Youth Tackle Football Inc. created the organization as a place where children of all ages and abilities could learn the sport of football while having fun. The emphasis is on giving children access to the sport year round. Central to the mission is more playing time, a learning environment for coaches, and a lower cost of participation.
Purpose
To give youth in the New England area the opportunity to play football during all seasons of the year. The organization also supports other nonprofit football leagues and educates parents on the sport and on how to keep youth safe while playing. The organization engages in other activities permissible for a corporation formed under chapter 180 of Massachusetts general laws, provided those activities are permissible for a corporation organized exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
Our Mission
NEYT is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the athletic and mental development of our youth through football. The success of the league is measured by the fun, achievement, sportsmanship, and competition that each of us experiences as a result of pulling together to develop the children of our community. We invite your support in leading the character of our youth toward responsibility, self discipline, respect, integrity, and sportsmanship.

Standards We Hold Every Season
USA Football
USA Football is the national governing body for the sport of football. It provides standards, resources, and programming to help make the game safe and enjoyable for all, working with leaders in medicine, child advocacy, and athletics. NEYT embraces and adheres to all of USA Football’s safety initiatives, coaching standards, and certifications to help ensure a safe and enriching environment for our participants.
National Sports ID
National Sports ID is a secure online platform that streamlines compliance in youth sports by verifying player eligibility, running background checks, and certifying coaches. Parents submit documents such as a birth certificate or passport and a report card, which the NSID team reviews to confirm the athlete’s age and grade. On successful completion, both players and coaches receive a validated digital ID, creating a verified roster that promotes fair play and reduces administrative work for organizers.
